JD INGRAHAM

JD began piping in the wake of 9/11 after having seen many pipers performing on TV. At the time he also played trumpet in the school band. JD continued playing both instruments in the Knoxville, TN area until he graduated high school. Attending Georgia Tech for college, JD earned degree in Aerospace Engineering, and moved to Charleston, SC to become a Quality Engineer for Boeing. Over the course of his piping career he has become a very successful competitive player and now serves as Pipe Major for the Charleston Pipe Band. JD has also continued playing trumpet throughout college, and can provide bugle services (taps, service hymns, etc) as an addition to piping performances."

JD can play pipe music to suit any mood, and is happy to provide the best possible set list of traditional Scottish and Irish tunes for your event. For smaller indoor events he can switch the great highland bagpipe out for small pipes that are quieter. JD has three kilts and multiple uniforms, allowing him to match the event he is playing for - everything from a barefoot barn festival to a black tie ceremony attended by royalty

Enjoy JD's solo in this beautiful video of him performing with a choir.
